My rollerblader was recently picked and displayed on rollernews website, and remind me I have never posted the finished character.

So there he is.
The charater is under 8500 tris 2048 map for color, normal and specular, ready to go in a next gen game :)

Mister Punch: virtual puppet show

Here is my first professional work, done for Wizarbox.

I was in charge of modeling, texturing and skinning 9 virtuals puppets.



The main idea of the project was to used Wii controler to let real puppeter control virtual character and present a virtual puppet show.

The show takes place in the “cité des sciences et de l’industrie” in paris form may 29th to june 7th.
It was part of a big event related with new media and technology in all the parisian area:

One more head study. yet an other old man.
I still use a single picture as a reference.
I try to pay more attention to details on this one.
Except for skin pore everything was sculpted without alphas.

WIP rollerblader – Highpoly

Here is the highpoly of my rollerblader sculpted in Zbrush.

I used a profesionnal skater whose name is Chris Haffey as a reference.

I will make a low polygon character for this one, and put him on action in a scene that I have in mind.

I used a single image as a reference. It’s a picture found on internet, and I have no idea of the name of this man but I like to give name to head that I sculpt. So this one is Carl. :) carl_blog

WIP rollerblader – Skate

Hi. I am starting a new character. It will be a rollerblader.

I begun rollerblading a long time ago, and even I don’t practice much latly, I still love this sport.

Very popular in the second half of 90s and early 2000s, the sport is now much more underground.

However, people who love this sport keep pushing it, despite the lack of exposure in massive media.

I want to make a little tribute to them.

So first things first , I made the skate. It’s a Remz 2007 team model.


I have try something different with Zbrush, more hard surface than organic.

I made two female head studies 2 weeks ago.



They were made using references found on internet. Both head share the same base mash made in Silo.

The base mesh was done with silo and the rest was fun with Zbrush.

Moloch WIP

This is my current WIP.

It’s based on a great concept made by Florent Maudoux for Rackham.

Where I am so far.


The modeling is complete at this stage.
All the polygonal modeling, and sculpting studies was made in Silo.
This is my first character mainly sculpted in Zbrush. I almost only used Mudbox for detailing before and a little bit Zbrush at the very end for some extra details. The only things that I can is that Zbrush is great.
